Chat needs some love; it needs colors and the /me emote of IRC and similar, also needs to be part of the main program window or have the option to make it so...

I'm sure there are others that will have more technical things to say regarding chat but at least the thread has begun :)

I agree with Pinkie in this topic, if we are to look at this network with any serious intent its going to need to at least be as "fun" in terms of colour support in the chats as many other networks, I am 100% sure this was on the developers list anyway but it would help swell the number of users if such support was in place to deliver an alternative to what they have already in their ageing p2p/messaging networks.

I personally think this is a great project with a lot of scope for the future and comprehend that these are early days for everyone so in this respect it would be helpful if someone of rank on this site was able to provide some kind of feedback in response to users input, I know this may be a chore but it will mean we can all sing from the same prayer book in terms of where this development is going and how best we early adopters can support it.

how would you like to be able to set the colors? #ffffff? other way? how does winmx do it?

color support added

The colour support is most welcomed, it is not however all that is necessary for folks to proclaim the mighty work is completed just yet, our thanks of course go to the developers whom have stated already that they will concentrate on other areas next and then I believe will see what else they can add to the chat fun arena.

The only thing it's missing is users and the ability to dock it in the main window. And the latter will probably help with the former.
