Recursive file scan?

by Guest on 2017/09/01 08:06:06 AM
I have a folder structure of files I'd like to share and I'd like to just add the root of that structure to my library and have Fopnu scan that structure for files recursively.  Is this possible, or can this be added to a list of suggested features?

you can do this.

when you add a folder to the library, the folders and files within are shared as well, unless you turn them off yourself.

Ok, I'm in sleep mode, but I'm not seeing where one can turn on/off recursive scan?

I've experimented by added a root folder - nothing added.

My file structure is like:

/
/books
/books/cooking
/books/cooking/0
/books/cooking/a
etc

/books/library
/books/library/0
/books/library/a
etc

I go and add my /books/cooking/0 folder and the only files added are the ones NOT in a "folder" if its a pdf, mobi, epub, etc... those are added no problem, but those that are in a "folder" are not.

IF I add each/every folder, then everything works.

Am I missing something?

Thanks! :)

I too can confirm this doesn't work, and is hampering the project since if people can't share lots of files, there's no content to attract people.

e.g. I tried to share my Comedy folder which is like this:

F:\
F:\Comedy\
F:\Comedy\TV Show A\
F:\Comedy\TV Show A\s01e01.mp4
F:\Comedy\TV Show B\s01e01.mp4
F:\Comedy\somerandom.mp4
F:\Comedy\somerandom2.mp4

I tell it to share F:\Comedy\ but the only files added to the library are somerandom.mp4 and somerandom2.mp4

I hope fopnu can become a success as I'm not over keen on the way Torrent sites have had to be closed, invitation only, somewhat "elite" sharing platforms. I remember the days of Audio Galaxy and being able to download rare bootleg albums etc. :)

Thanks for reporting this, we have confirmed it. It will be fixed in the next version, which should be released very soon.
