Bug Check

I left Fopnu running for a few weeks and there was quite a number of users getting my files, but i noticed many if not all of them went idle at 99%
I have auto clear idle downloads and complete downloads turned off so i could see how many users were getting my files.

Is this a known issue?

this is NOT a bug. you are giving that person all of the file.

the other person is just not bothering to tell you they have all of the file now as they dont bother sending a receipt message to you that they got the last piece.

shouldn't the receiver send an "ok, i got it all TYVM" message

Yah, i think they would go to 100% if they had it all.

when you are downloading from someone, you are only sending them messages that say 'i want this piece', not 'i have this piece', therefore for the last piece there is no final message that tells the uploader that the downloader has the last piece.

Just shared files between two local computer to see how this work and get the same problem : Fully received the file at one side and stuck at 97% on the sender.

Might be worth adding a simple protocol level msg / or flag to an existing management message to indicate that the requesting client has reached completion, pretty trivial but not knowing the foundations of the protocol in usage within Fopnu there may be an unforseen hurdle with this type of simplistic approach.

But why does it only getting stuck at 99% sometimes and not always?

This issue is still occurring in the latest version.

I had a user ask what happened, as on their end all their uploads to me showed 99% and idle.

On my end all were 100% complete. Both of us are using v1.33

after a while, they finally disappeared from his list. It seems verification of completion to the uploader might need tweaking.

apparently this happens if the source hasn't completely hashed their library
