As a topic

You can check this for yourself by using a simple sniffer such as ethereal/wireshark, I did some basic tests to confirm the encryption and urge you to do the same as seeing is believing.

Then perhaps you can post links to screenshots you have taken from the software you've used to confirm this.

YES, everything is encrypted over a shared secret negotiated via public/private key pairs.  You can see your own private key from the menu above your contacts, same place you change your name.

The key appears to be 32 bytes wide, so it's very likely a 255 bit elliptic curve scheme, which is very good.

The channels in Tixati are almost the same as far as key size.

Its not hard to undertake the same tests as I did, your going to be looking at UDP traffic, when your testing close your messenger, torrent client & browser etc and run Fopnu only, fire up and await nodes building phase, gather up a chat list and mark the time on a slip of paper and enter one of the the test rooms and then after you've typed some text blocks along the lines of XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX1111111111111111111111111XXXXXXXXXXXXX, stop the packet captures and go back and look through the traffic for those text strings (this is where knowing the timestamp can be helpful), its pretty trivial work, I dont post images on the net and lets be fair without doing the test yourself would you trust a few screenshots ?

I appreciate this may be a learning curve for some folks but peace of mind often has a cost so nows a good time to get started on the happy path of privacy.
